Poem 39 – Hallowe’en

You have your costumes and rags of joy –
I have my paper and pens.
You have your fun – go out in the dark –

I’ll join you when the poem ends.

***

Dear readers,
I will admit, I was tempted to do a poem that simply mocked the people who celebrate Hallowe’en, before realising that actually, it’s pretty fun. So instead I made a joke at my expense, which I hope you find funny. I think we all probably know someone like this (Or, indeed, are this person ourselves). Hope you have fun, doing whatever you’re up to this evening, and enjoy yourselves (But don’t annoy other people).
Farewell!
