Poem 64 – Merry Christmas

It’s not my place to comment on the beauty of snowflakes,
The gaudy baubles, the tuneful carols,
The joy and jealousy of sitting in bright apparel,
Or of the presents wrapped tightly under the tree.
So I will not write of these, and instead will take the chance,
To invite you, dear reader, on another hasty dance,
Through poems and wonderlands and yuletide cheer –
Dear readers, merry Christmas, and a happy New Year.

Dear readers,
I wish you a merry Christmas, and want to say thank you for a fantastic introduction to the world of blogging. And yes, I know that the opening four lines are completely ignored by me in most poems this week. But there you go.
I hope you have a fantastic day, and get what you wished for.
(Unless you don’t deserve it).
