Poem 65 – Boxing Day Carols

And so the fun has passed for now,
And Christmas passed us by,
And it will take another year
For songs of angels to fill the sky.
But there’s pleasure that the choirs sang,
And held me in their thrall –
So weep not for this silence,
But let’s be glad, one and all.

Dear readers,
I hope that you had a good Christmas. If you want to hear a fantastic choir, listen to the King’s College Cambridge Nine Lessons and Carols (Still on BBC iPlayer). As ever, the choir is beautiful.
