Poem 77 – Mille e tre

A thousand times? Well tell me then,
Who was it who showed such madness
As to come here to read these words?
(Though of course it fills me with gladness).
Perhaps some of them were lost,
And others were just passing through,
But if you chose to read these words,
I know not what to say but thank you.

Dear readers,

On looking at my statistics page, I realised that I have now passed a thousand views on this site. Thus I commemorated an, admittedly, small milestone with this poem. For those of you wondering, the title comes from  Mozart’s Don Giovanni – the famous Catalogue Aria (Watch from about 1:45). It’s very fun – one of the best parts of what is, frankly, a masterpiece. But there you go – Mozart does that sometimes.

Kind regards,

The Hapless Neo-Romantic
