Poem 323 – Second Birthday

Two years this boat has sailed,
Three hundred poems and score,
The time has passed so swiftly,
And yet there will be more.
A glittering horizon
Still opens for our voyage
So join me; the whole wide world is ours
Through day and night, under storm and stars.

Dear readers,

As is my custom (In that I’ve done it once), I am marking this blog’s birthday with a special poem. It echoes the very first poem I put here. Last year I simply marked it by putting up one of my favourite poems –  which was far less popular than the rather macabre poem that came before it, but that’s not really a problem. I hope that you enjoy this as much as I’ve enjoyed writing another year of poetry!

Kind regards,

The Hapless Neo-Romantic
