Poem 344 – On the Correct Usage of Commas

I never believed in true love until I met you,
I had never felt hatred hidden in the dark,
My heart was ripped open, you lit me on fire,
Losing my body our destinies were shared,
As we became one in the eyes of the law,
You were below me that final night,
Lover and demon, oh how you fell,
Bound with a rope with the force of such passion
All things must end and this is why.

Dear readers,

When I was young I read a poem ‘I Saw a Fishpond, all on Fire’. It stayed with me for many years, and here is my tribute. I hope that you manage to make the alterations that allow the poem to make much more sense, and appreciate the reference.

Kind regards,

The Hapless Neo-Romantic
