Poem 349 – Farewell to the Sea

Farewell to the sea, companion of before –
You and I must part company.
For my road goes left, but you go on,
And I doubt I shall rejoin you urgently.
There are whole other lands beyond your shores,
But my journey binds me this way.
For I know where I’m going, I know why it calls,
And that’s where I’m going to stay.

Dear readers,

The sea. Poetry. They go together.

Kind regards,
