Poem 363 – They Never Asked Me Why

They never asked me why.
They assumed I had a reason.
It wasn’t a very good one,
I wish they had asked.
Or at least, had seen,
That my reasons were wrong
Because I didn’t see
Until far too late,
When my fate befell me.
