Poem 369 – Come With Me

Come with me far away
To where the river sparkles bright and gay
Between the barges on their way
To all the world, come what may.
Hold my arm – I’d hear you say
“We’ll come back here another day”
My love would be the price I’d pay
If I thought you might once not say “nay”.
