Poem 376 – The Screaming Walls

When I wander through your home
Around me I can feel
The pain and agony in these walls
That all around resounds
Like the cacophony of bells at Notre-Dame
As the hour strikes, and all Paris
Joins in chiming the passing time
In discord and babble but they
Cease, your walls do not.
I feel them scream, they scream your fear.
