Poem 379 – I Wend Alone

I wend alone my solitary way
Winding through the dark alleyways
Knowing I have time enough
To dawdle, for they say
That they are gone who made me bleed,
And my heart drowns in woe
Cursing the sky, I wildly plea
That the gods may restore my foe.
