Poem 380 – Death Came Knocking on My Door

DEATH came knocking on my door.
He asked ‘where is thy friend?’
I said ‘how come you don’t know,
When last week they met their end?’
‘I know she did; I reaped their soul,
But they are not Beyond.’
‘Perhaps I keep them in my heart;
I always was too fond.’
