Poem 383 – Do Not Touch Me

I beg you, do not touch me,
Do not press against my skin,
I cannot stand compressing
From one of my mortal kin.
I beg you, do not touch me,
Let me believe I have no heart,
Stay far away, do not say ‘love’;
Say ‘leave’ if you do; do not touch me.
