Poem 408 – 02:00

Fever dream.
Shattered personae, I am an American,
Young, female, blonde, skeptical,
Professor, magisterial, afraid, male,
Prosecuting? Running, seated in my car
Enjoying a breast of duck with
Me, a homeless vagrant with no face
Wandering crazed through the fever lands,
Where words decline incline sublime rhyme.
