Poem 420 – 14:00

Back to the world,
Belly full, belly creaking
With the pressure of a full day’s worth of food.
The eyes close, the clothes stretch,
The much-maligned belt starts to kvetch,
And slowly stretches, then it snaps,
But no-one cares, the owner is asleep,
Though the shirt-buttons see their fate and weep.
