Dear readers,
The ways in which people are asked and forced to do things that they find repellent have a grim fascination. It takes strength to refuse to do them – and many people should not be blamed for lacking the impossible strength to refuse to do certain things.
Fans of Terry Pratchett may recognise two references to his works in here – “I Will Not” from The Long War, and “Nae King, Nae Laird” from The Wee Free Men. I am something of a fan of his – as I think I’ve said before.
